# Newline Sliding Shelf
The Newline Sliding Shelf offers an affordable alternative to premium shelves, featuring the same high-quality 9-ply Birch sides. Crafted without lacquer or joinery, these shelves utilize the same reliable 3/4 extension hardware found in our Premium line. Constructed from 9-ply Baltic Birch for the front, back, and sides, these pull-out shelves are designed to fit openings up to 26 inches wide.

## Clear Opening Width
Measure the available space between the narrowest two points of your cabinet's opening at the level where the shelf will be installed. Consider any protruding hinges, doors, or face frames. Typically, the lower pullout shelf will be slightly narrower than the upper one due to hinge interference. For frameless cabinets, be sure to account for L Brackets used by the Base or Half Shelf Mounting Styles.
**Do not use existing pullout shelves or drawers to determine the Clear Opening Width.**
## Shelf Depth
Select a Shelf Depth that will fit within your cabinet's interior depth, behind any doors or framing. This refers to the actual length of the pullout shelf. Note that the Rear Socket Mounting Style may require an additional 1/4" in depth, so allow for extra room when ordering.
**Do not choose a Depth size larger than your interior cabinet depth.**
## Mounting Styles
- **Base Mount**: Mount on top of any existing surface, such as the bottom/floor of the cabinet or a full fixed/adjustable shelf.
- **Half Shelf Mount**: Utilize a half shelf in the back of the cabinet or an existing shelf that is more than 2" shorter than the cabinet depth.
- **Side Mount**: For mounting an upper shelf without an existing fixed/adjustable shelf, attach to the interior sidewalls using spacers or wood strips to ensure a narrow enough pullout.
- **Rear Socket Mount**: Similar to the Side Mount, but the rear of the shelf attaches to the cabinet's back wall.
The Half Shelf, Side Mount, and Rear Socket Mounting Styles all attach to the face frame or sides of the cabinet in the front, with only the rear attachment differing.
