Economy Sliding Shelf

Introducing our most affordable sliding shelf, designed without sides for optimal computer and video storage. With a front trim that is wider than the shelf, there’s no need for door protectors. Choose from beautiful Oak or Maple hardwood front accents to match your style! The shelf features a 5/8″ thick melamine bottom and a 2″ tall plywood strip at the rear. The maximum width for our economy shelves accommodates a 24″ opening, except when used as a keyboard tray, where minimal weight is allowed. For keyboard tray setups, order the base mount and reverse the L brackets to hang from a flush desktop.

Clear Opening Width

The clear opening width is the available space between the narrowest two points of your cabinet’s opening at the level where the shelf will be installed. This measurement should account for any protruding hinges, doors, face frames, etc. Typically, the lower pullout shelf is slightly narrower than the upper due to hinge interference at the bottom. If you have a frameless cabinet, remember to deduct for the L Brackets used by the Base or Half Shelf Mounting Styles.

Note: Do not measure existing pullout shelves or drawers to obtain the Clear Opening Width.

Shelf Depth

Select a shelf depth that fits within your available cabinet interior depth, allowing for any doors or framing. This is the actual length of the pullout shelf. The Rear Socket Mounting Style may add an additional 1/4” to the shelf depth, so please allow for this extra room when ordering.

Note: Do not select a depth size larger than your interior cabinet depth.

Mounting Styles

• Base Mount: Attaches to the top of any existing surface, such as the bottom/floor of the cabinet or a full fixed/adjustable shelf.
• Half Shelf Mount: Utilizes an existing half shelf in the back of the cabinet or an existing shelf that is more than 2″ shorter than the cabinet depth.
• Side Mount: Designed for mounting an upper shelf where no fixed/adjustable shelf exists; attaches to the interior sidewalls using a spacer or wood strip to ensure the pullout can slide through the opening.
• Rear Socket Mount: Similar to the Side Mount, but attaches the rear of the shelf to the cabinet’s back wall.

The Half Shelf, Side Mount, and Rear Socket Mounting Styles all attach to the face frame or sides of the cabinet at the front; the rear attachment is the only difference.

Note: Spacers are not automatically included but can be found in our Hardware Section.

Important: When using Half Shelf or Rear Socket mounting styles, the shelf must be set back from the cabinet face due to the wood front accent extending 1/2″ further than the slides.
