Clear Opening Width

The clear opening width is the space between the narrowest two points of your cabinet’s opening, at the level where the shelf will be installed. Be mindful of protruding hinges, doors, and face frames. Typically, the lower pullout shelf will be slightly narrower than the upper one due to hinge interference. If you have a frameless cabinet, remember to deduct for the L brackets used by the Base or Half Shelf Mounting styles.

Note: Do not measure existing pullout shelves or drawers to determine the clear opening width.

Shelf Depth

Choose a shelf depth that fits within your cabinet’s interior depth, taking doors or framing into account. The actual length of the pullout shelf should be selected carefully. The Rear Socket Mounting Style may add an additional 1/4″, so please allow for this extra room when ordering.

Note: Do not select a depth larger than your interior cabinet depth.

Mounting Styles

• Base Mount: Attaches on top of any existing surface (e.g., bottom/floor of cabinet, full fixed/adjustable shelf).
• Half Shelf Mount: Utilizes a half shelf in the back of the cabinet or an existing shelf that is more than 2″ shorter than the cabinet depth.
• Side Mount: For mounting an upper shelf without an existing fixed/adjustable shelf, attaching to the interior sidewalls with a spacer or wood strip to ensure the pullout slides through the opening.
• Rear Socket Mount: Similar to the Side Mount, but attaches the rear of the shelf to the cabinet’s back wall.

Important: The Half Shelf, Side Mount, and Rear Socket Mounting Styles all attach to the face frame or sides of the cabinet at the front; only the rear attachment differs.
