Clear Opening Width

The clear opening width is the available space between the narrowest points of your cabinet’s opening at the level where the shelf will be installed. Be mindful of any protruding hinges, doors, face frames, etc. Typically, the lower pullout shelf is slightly narrower than the upper due to hinge interference. If you have a frameless cabinet, deduct for the L Brackets used by the Base or Half Shelf Mounting Styles. Please do not add or subtract anything from the width for the slides; we’ll handle that for you.

Important: Do not measure existing pullout shelves or drawers to determine the clear opening width.

Shelf Depth

Choose the shelf depth that fits inside your cabinet’s interior depth, behind any doors or framing. This measurement reflects the actual length of the pullout shelf. Note that the Rear Socket Mounting Style may add an extra 1/4″, so allow for additional room when ordering.

Important: Do not select a depth larger than your interior cabinet depth.

Mounting Styles

Depending on your choice of mounting style, the appropriate hardware will be included. Here are the options:

Base Mount

Mounts on top of any existing surface, such as the bottom or floor of the cabinet or a full fixed/adjustable shelf. It does not attach to anything on the sides.

Half Shelf Mount

Utilizes a half shelf in the back of the cabinet or an existing shelf that’s more than 2″ shorter than the cabinet depth.

Side Mount

For mounting an upper shelf without an existing fixed/adjustable shelf. Attaches to the interior sidewalls using a spacer or wood strip (spacers not included).

Rear Socket Mount

Similar to Side Mount, but the rear of the shelf attaches to the cabinet’s back wall. The rear sockets are adjustable to reach the back wall.

The Half Shelf, Side Mount, and Rear Socket Mounting Styles all attach to the face frame or sides of the cabinet in the front; the rear attachment is the only variation.

Both the Standard 3/4 Extension and the Ball Bearing Full Extension Soft-Close slide types install in the same manner. Please note that spacers are not automatically included but can be found in our Hardware Section.
